That's all my friends and my bloke seem to enjoy. Went to see Ultraviolence at the weekend with my honey and the kids - T&S. Everyone had a fantastic time and thought they were awesome. Phyrephox danced his ass off. I stood near the front and desperately tried to see what everyone was enjoying.

The fat, middle-aged DJ in a skeleton outfit had a voice like razors on a rusty blackboard. Plus he was accompanied by an obvious chav dressed in autumn high-street goth. I was terribly unimpressed. It was kind of like being the only sober person in a room full of drunks. I just couldn't understand what all the fuss was about! Eventually my ears felt like they were about to explode so I went back to the bar and drank and lit up a cigarette. I was relieved to see that I was not the only one unimpressed by the performance. There were at least half a dozen very cool looking goths dressed in black leather who also seemed to be less than impressed.

So once again the night ended with me feeling very left out and extremely uncool. I wouldn't mind so much if we did something else for a change or had just one night out that didn't feature EBM. I know that there are clubs with different floors for different music but even if we went to one I'd just end up on my own. Plus they're allowed to dislike my taste in music but I have to 'learn' to like theirs. It makes me angry sometimes. I just wish there was a little give with the take. Am I a freak if I occasionally wish to listen to more guitar based music without the constant pounding of techno music? I would just like to sit in a nice, darkened, suitably gothic bar with a pint and a fag and watch the girl with the guitar on stage sing some powerful, beautiful lyrics and just chill for once. Okay? Is that allowed? Is it really asking for so much? The world would be pretty damn boring if we all liked the same thing all the bloody time!

Embrace diversity. You may well enjoy it.

Well I've had my little rant now. That's the great thing about blogging, its a pretty funky way to blow off steam. I love my man and our mates are cool. But just occasionally it helps to have a little rant....<img src="/img/smilies/icon_twisted.gif" alt=":>" class="middle" border="0">

The Spanish waiter keeps following me around everywhere. I go out for a smoke, he goes out for a smoke. I sit behind my desk, he stands in front of it. You get the idea. I wouldn't mind if he was remotely interesting in any way!!! Everyone at work hates him. I listened politely to one of his repetitive anecdotes and now he won't go away. Arghh!!

Plus I am surrounded by Austrian tourists. They have been drinking since 12. Everytime one of them leans across the desk, I get hit by the fumes and feel a little dizzy.

God I'm bored. I want to get a new job so badly. I wish my boyf would text me. Alas he is in Londinium, no doubt deep in geek mode. 3 Hours to go. And then 8 hours tomorrow morning and we get to see Ultraviolence. Yeah!!!

Personally, I would rather be curled up in bed with my honey right now...with handcuffs...and a whip...and possibly something in leather...or velvet. <img src="/img/smilies/icon_twisted.gif" alt=":>" class="middle" border="0"><img src="/img/smilies/icon_censored.gif" alt=">:XX" class="middle" border="0">

Anyway, the end of the wonderful adventure was that we spent all night walking around London, failed to find anyone and ended up going home with a six-pack, a bottle of wine and a maccy ds. Ain't life grand?

So I finish work today, get collected by Phyrephox (my fantabulous boyf) and after carrying out a few errands and dragging him not quite kicking and screaming into a girlie clothes store, we finally set out for Londinium....

6:40pm

And so Friday comes around and once more I find myself London - bound to a 2600 meeting ( a group of hackers and computer orientated peeps ). I have been plied with liquor, which may be causing this surprising bout of optimism, as far as the meeting is concerned. Don't get me wrong, its interesting being surrounded by highly intelligent people with laptops and dreams of world domination. And generally they're nice guys (I've only been once before and there was a conspicuous lack of females apart from me...) It's just that once they open their mouths and start talking about systems and networks, my brain shuts down and goes into Monday morning student lecture mode!

Just realised that the guy sitting across the way from us looks like the 20-something love-child of Stuart and Michelle from Big Brother! I kid you not. Its uncanny. And slightly disturbing...

So, anyway, we get to London and are about 15 mins late to meet the rest of the group. But its all okay cos we know where they are going to be... In theory. Tune in tomorrow for The pain of Rayne...

I had a lovely relaxing weekend with my 'rents and my gorgeous boyf and now I'm back to the obligatory soul-destroying 9 - 5. Grr.

To make matters worse, I do shift work and tonight I'm on a late. Its dead quiet. There's not alot for two people to do and I've still got 5 hours to go! Therefore, it only seemed sensible to update my beautiful blog!

As far as I'm concerned this weekend can't come soon enough. My friend is having a Cyber-Pirate Birthday Party and I'm going as a cyber serving wench. Avast me hearties! Baton down the laptops and hoist the sky dish! Yo, ho, ho and a bottle of absinthe!

Finally got stuck in to Harry Potter 6 this weekend too. Yeah I know half the world now thinks that its lame and over-commercialised. But the writing is good and the plots are always superb if occasionally a little over-written.

I'd give my eye - teeth to be able to write a story like that. Yep, I am in fact a typical frustrated writer. I admit it. I make up for it by reading a lot and now, writing in this blog. Hopefully, if I can keep this going, then I can keep writing a book going too. At least, thats the plan....

But today was different. Today I made a list. Its true that I did give in to the inevitable 3 dvds for £20 offer at HMV but apart from that, I am proud to say that I did not deviate!

The only blight on my perfect shopping morning was being accosted in the high street by a man who told me that Jesus loves me and would I like to become a Morman.
I am a goth but not a scary one. I like glowsticks and jumping around to EBM. I also like chilling with a nice bottle of wine in front of a nice big open fire in my gothic castle (Oh if only!).

That's enough about me now. Its far too early and I'm generally not a morning person!

The main point of this blog is to share information about anything and everything that might interest me in the hope to entertain others . So enjoy!
